Jaime "Shaggy" Flores is a Nuyorican-Massarican poet who hails from Guaynabo (Borinken), El Barrio, and Shaolin (Nuava Yol), Springfield (New England), and the DMV area (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia). He is the author of Sancocho: A Book of Nuyorican Poetry (Dark Souls, 2001), and Obatala's Bugalu: A Book of Nuyorican Sights and Sounds (South Harlem Libros, 2013). His work can also be found in Manteca! An Anthology of Afro-Latino@ Poets (Arte Publico Press, 2017).
